Meals & Snacks Ideas

The worst part of being an adult/parent is coming up with meals to eat every week. My mind is always blank when I go to write out our meals for the week.

So I came up with a list of our go-to meals and snacks. Hopefully this will help if you are in a slump and cannot think of anything to make. 😊

MEALS:

-Breakfast for dinner: this is my family’s FAVORITE meal. Eggs & hasbrowns, waffles, french toast, pancakes, bacon/sausage (I always make a double batch whenever we do waffles and freeze the extras for an easy breakfast the rest of the week)

-Hot Dogs & chips/veggies/fruit: we like to get chili and make chili dogs with shredded cheese

-Grilled cheese & tomato soup

-Mac & Cheese

-Homemade Lunchables: lunchmeat, crackers, cheese, veggies, fruit. This one is so easy to customize and get what you like.

-Cheesy potatoes (or funeral potatoes, whatever you call them) & meat of your choice (we like ham or smoked sausage)

-Hamburgers or Chicken Burgers

-Spaghetti or Lasagna (lasagna is easy to make ahead of time and keep in the fridge or freezer until you are ready to cook it)

-Anything in the crockpot: one of my favorites to just dump everything in and cook it all day (also easy to make ahead of time)

-Baked slider sandwiches (we like French dip style and ham & swiss)

-Make your own pizza (easy to customize to your liking)

-Make your own salad (easy to customize to your liking)

-Oatmeal (easy meal or snack, can also add fruit to it)

-Hawaiian Haystacks

-Baked Potatoes

-Tacos: so easy to make a double batch of and have leftovers for lunches for the week (ground beef, shredded chicken, tortillas (or tortillas chips to make nachos, plus whatever toppings you like, could even do taco salad)

SNACKS:

-Apples & peanut butter (I also like this with chocolate chips)

-Pickles (my husbands favorite snack right now)

-Olives

-Hard Boiled Eggs (have with a meal or as a snack, can also use them to make deviled eggs)

-Muffins (we make a double batch and freeze them for an easy breakfast or snack, just pop in the microwave to warm up)
