We usually do a family vacation with my in-laws this time of year, but while they all went to Southern Utah together, we made the hard decision to stay home (a LOT of factors went into this decision). We decided it was what was best for our family and we ended up having a great stay-cation at home! We went to the zoo, played at a splash pad, went to Boondocks, played a bunch of games and watched movies together. It was so great spending time together!
(I took a lot of pictures and really tried to narrow it down to share here :D)
ZOO DAY-we all loved going to the zoo! A lot of the animals were pretty active or they were sleeping right up against the glass, so we got a good look at them. Charlie would see an animal and then hold up is finger asking for “one more”. It was so funny!

SPLASH PAD-we went to a couple splash pads. It was fun to play in the water and it felt good to cool down since it was so hot outside. We also swam in our pool at home.

BOONDOCKS-this was more for Larry & Laura. It was nice to do something that was more for them. We did bowling, go-carts, bumper boats, laser tag, and mini-golf (which Charlie like to do because he would actually do something). Me and Rob would switch off doing something with the kids and walking around with Charlie. There are also a ton of arcade games there, so we would walk around with Charlie and look at them. He didn’t even care that we didn’t play them. 😀

GAMES-our favorite thing to do together is play games. We played a bunch of games on our stay-cation.
